Bentley has introduced the revamped Bentayga Speed, the pinnacle of luxury and performance within its SUV lineup. This updated version features a meticulously crafted 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 engine, delivering an impressive 626 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. The hefty SUV, weighing over 5,400 pounds, accelerates from zero to 62 miles per hour in just 3.9 seconds and can reach a maximum speed of 190 mph. In comparison, the standard V8 Bentayga achieves the same speed in 4.4 seconds and is capped at 180 mph.

Beyond its remarkable speed, the Bentayga Speed also emphasizes sustainability. It incorporates cylinder deactivation technology, which allows half of the engine’s six cylinders to shut down. While cruising on the highway in the higher gears, the SUV can disengage the transmission if the accelerator is not engaged, allowing the engine to idle and conserve fuel.

To enhance handling, the Bentayga Speed features a 48-volt active roll control system that stabilizes body movements and minimizes tilting in curves. Additionally, its brake-based torque vectoring system has been fine-tuned for improved responsiveness. Optional carbon-ceramic brakes provide superior stopping power, marking the largest brake discs offered by Bentley.

The new Bentayga Speed stands out with its darker grille, sportier bumpers, a tailgate spoiler, and unique 22-inch wheels, along with distinctive oval exhaust tips. Inside, buyers can choose Alcantara as an alternative to leather, which now adorns the seats, gear lever, steering wheel, lower knee trim, upper pillar trim, and headliner. This update follows the recent facelift of the Bentayga, which includes a redesigned front end, new taillights, and an overhauled dashboard.

For those looking to add a sleek aesthetic, a Black Specification option is available that replaces chrome exterior elements with either gloss black or carbon fiber finishes.

Bentley has also announced that the final variant of the Bentayga lineup, the Bentayga Hybrid, will be revealed in the coming months. Speculation suggests that the staggered unveiling of these models may be a strategy to generate ongoing interest and media attention, particularly relating to Bentley’s reputation for luxury vehicles..
