Model Year: 2020 GMC Acadia

Overview: GMC updates its popular crossover to align with its tech-savvy lineup, introducing an all-new off-road-inspired AT4 variant, similar to the Sierra pickup truck.

What’s New: The 2020 Acadia features a redesigned look, enhanced engine options, an off-road focused trim, and the latest GMC infotainment technology. Its new headlights, grille, and updated front and rear designs give the Acadia a sleek and contemporary “high-tech” appearance, setting it apart from the previous model.

A new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is now available, delivering 230 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The updated Acadia also includes GM’s nine-speed automatic transmission. All existing trims, including the luxurious Denali, return for 2020. The AT4 trim features a 3.6-liter V6 engine, producing 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque, combined with a sophisticated twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system.

The standard transmission for the 2020 Acadia now includes a nine-speed automatic, replacing the previous six-speed gearbox for the available 2.0-, 2.5-, and 3.6-liter engines.

Key Features: The 2020 Acadia accommodates five, six, or seven passengers. Among its new features is the latest “Rear Vision Camera,” an updated rearview camera mirror, along with a 15-watt wireless charger for mobile devices. A head-up display is also expected later this year.

Manufactured in Spring Hill, Tennessee, the GMC Acadia will be available for purchase this fall, with pricing details to be announced as the sale date approaches.
