Key Updates: The exterior of the G90 has been completely revised to reflect Genesis’ new design philosophy, predominantly noticeable in the front and rear fascias. The front end sports Porsche-inspired four-point headlights and distinctive fender badging, accentuated by redesigned hood and fenders for a more imposing look.

Genesis has enriched the G90 with advanced connected features, aligning with industry trends. The upcoming model will offer enhanced connectivity with over-the-air updates, integrating adaptive navigation-based cruise control for seamless speed adjustments.

Luc Donckerwolke, Hyundai Motor Group’s Executive VP and Chief Design Officer, emphasized, “G90 epitomizes Genesis’ ethos. Our design team meticulously crafted an even more elegant and harmonious styling for the vehicle from the ground up.”

Insights: Despite the array of enhancements, the revised G90 maintains its essence akin to the existing model. Several new features like active noise cancellation and a smart HVAC system that detects external pollutants and adjusts recirculation remain discreetly integrated post the facelift. The car also houses adaptive suspension and driver safety aids driven by software.

No fresh powertrain options will debut with the G90. Genesis plans to retain the previous generation’s two powertrains, offering a choice between a 365 hp 3.3L twin-turbo V6 or a 420 hp 5.0L V8. Currently, no electric powertrain is slated for the G90’s lineup, at least for now.

The G90 is anticipated to hit the U.S. market by mid-2019, with pricing details yet to be disclosed. For reference, the previous generation’s starting price hovered just below $70,000.
