The Nissan Versa holds the title of the most economical car in the lineup, ranking among the most budget-friendly new vehicles available in the United States. For just a bit more money, the Versa Note serves as the “sporty” hatchback alternative, providing enhanced performance and quality. Even with its budget price, the car is equipped with numerous high-tech features, and the recently launched 2018 Versa Note comes with an even greater array of options.

The entry-level Versa Note is priced at $15,480, while the fully-equipped Note SR is priced at just $17,980.

All variants of the Versa Note are equipped with a 1.6-liter engine generating 109 horsepower, which delivers 31 miles per gallon in urban settings and 39 mpg on highways (34 mpg combined), lessening the impact of rising fuel prices.

Despite its compact size, the interior of the Versa Note is spacious, offering 18.8 cubic feet of cargo space along with ample cupholders. This is largely attributed to the Note’s Divide-N-Hide Adjustable Floor, which includes a removable cargo cover that unveils additional storage beneath.

While the base model Note may seem quite basic, opting for the SV or SR trims, which require only a modest price increase, could offer better value. These versions come with a significantly upgraded 5-inch infotainment system, which features Bluetooth connectivity, a hands-free text messaging system, USB ports, and satellite radio. The seats in these trims are six-way adjustable with improved cloth material, and the steering wheel has a leather wrap.

New for the SV trim priced at $16,380 is the SV Special Edition package, which comes with keyless entry, a tire pressure alert system, an immobilizer, and aluminum-alloy wheels.

The SR trim adds sporty elements from other Nissan models, such as a rear spoiler, enhanced lighting, a steering wheel inspired by the 370Z, along with all features included in the SV Special Edition package.
