Jeep Announces Performance Specifications and Pricing for the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk

Since the launch of the Dodge Hellcat models in 2014, automotive enthusiasts have speculated about which vehicles Fiat Chrysler would next integrate the powerful Hellcat engine into. This curiosity fueled the rise of various Hellcat-swapped concepts across the brand’s lineup, particularly with the Jeep Grand Cherokee being a top contender for production. Now, Jeep is set to fulfill that expectation with the upcoming Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.

On Tuesday, Fiat Chrysler revealed more details about the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, such as its pricing and features. The starting price for this high-performance SUV is set at $85,900, approximately $15,000 above the original Hellcat models. Buyers can choose from an array of options, including a luxurious leather interior, 20-inch black wheels, a panoramic sunroof, rear-seat entertainment system, and premium Harman Kardon sound system. The vehicle will also be offered in nine exterior colors, one of which is the exclusive Trackhawk Redline red.

The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is expected to claim the title of the fastest production SUV, boasting a remarkable 0-60 mph acceleration time of under four seconds. This is achieved thanks to a powerful 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that generates 707 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque. The SUV comes equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission, Quadra-Trac all-wheel drive featuring an electronic limited-slip differential, and substantial Brembo brakes capable of handling the immense power. Buyers can also opt for either Pirelli Scorpion Verde all-season tires or P Zero 3-season performance tires for enhanced traction.

To differentiate it from standard Grand Cherokee models, the Trackhawk sits an inch lower and sports prominent heat extractors on the hood, along with “Trackhawk” and “Supercharged” badges.

The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will hit the market on August 10, making it possible for buyers to easily outpace typical minivan drivers in style and speed.
